PLEASANT RIDGE CEMETERY

INTRODUCTION:

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery is commonly spoken of as East Coe Cemetery.

Location: Section 35 of Coe Township, Isabella Co., Michigan. From the village of Shepherd, 3 miles south, 2 miles east, ½ mile south and 1/8 mile east.

Sexton: Mr. James MOATES, Shepherd, Michigan

The following compilation of data includes only that contained on grave stones in August 1941.

Since there is no sexton’s record, and no diagram of plat available, I have indicated lots by an alphabetical arrangement of surnames, but have attempted to describe each marked lot as well as available information permits.

A great number of graves bear no markers and there is no written record available for them. At the present, war time transportation and communication problems make it seem inadvisable to attempt gathering data for unidentified graves. However, if this information can be secured at some later date, it can be added to this record with little difficulty.
