WEIDMAN BOYS WHO HAVE MADE GOOD

                                               (transcribed by: L. Johnson)

Gerald Bywater was born on a farm near Sherman City, July 29, 1910, where he lived till

he was 16.  He passed the eighth grade in Sherman City, started in the ninth at Barryton, but

removed to Weidman with his parents and graduated from Weidman High.

Gerald was never afraid of work, and the neighbors were glad to get him to work for them

because he did his work well and stuck to it until it was done.

He went to work for the Isabella County State Bank a year ago last March, after a course

in the Ferris Institute.  His employers have noticed the same fidelity to duty and the same

thoroughness that characterized him when a lad.  We hear Gerald is to be transferred to the

Weidman bank soon, where he will be at home to all the home folks.  We shall all be pleased

to have Gerald with us again, and predict an increasing success in his chosen profession.
